As a trainer and supervisor mark is often aware of beginning supervisees struggling to understand how best to use supervision.

As a trainer of both therapists and supervisors, in this TA Tuesday Mark will share some his thinking about supervision. The intention is both to provide supervisees with a wider understanding of what might be obtainable from supervision, as well as offering supervisors and advanced practitioners some ideas around their own supervision practice.

In this session Diane, Robin & John discuss the counselling & supervision sessions with the online group.

The purpose of this session was to give Diane client material to use in a live supervision session with Robin. The counselling session lasted for about 15 minutes, there was a pause and then Diane had supervision with Robin for about 15 minutes. Rory has recently set up counselling tutor.com specifically to support students as they journey through their training, as part of the launch of the website Rory written “How to Survive Counselling Training”, the book contains lots of great advice on courses, placements and assignments.

In the interview Rory talked to us about his experience of being a student and then a lecturer in counselling, offering his top tips for surviving counselling training.

Before training as a psychotherapist Lin Cheung had a successful career in sales and marketing. In this workshop she will share with you some of her ideas on how to use online marketing and social media to support your business and build a successful private practice.

Lin is also a part-time artist and talked about the marketing strategies that she uses in this work and how they might be similar and different to how she markets her private counselling practice.

In this fourth event with onlinevents Robin talks about the importance of the relationship in Supervision and in Therapy and the role that trust plays. Robin talks about the impact of differing modalities, insurance and betrayal in helping relationships.

Following the two interviews that Robin has participated in with onlinevents “Fear and Love in Supervision” and “Safe Uncertainty in Supervision”, Robin offered a supervision session in front of a live audience.

In this interview Robin talked about the idea of safe uncertainty and modelled his thinking in the way he facilitated the chatroom.

The relationship is very much at the core of Robin’s work as he focuses on what gets in the way of forming and maintaining therapeutic relationships that are helpful both as a therapist and as a counselling supervisor. In this interview we enjoyed experiencing Robin’s passion for open, dynamic and freeing relationships!
