Live Counselling Series 2: Kevin Guthrie, A Psychodynamic Counsellor, Counsels Mike Trier – Kevin Guthrie & Mike Trier

November 5 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm GMT
Kevin Guthrie

In 2016, Online Events revisited the Gloria film from the 60s, by inviting counsellors from 7 different modalities to counsel Mike Trier, in order to showcase how they operate as counsellors. For each event, the client and the issue were the same, but the counsellor changed.

We now want to set up a new series of 'Live Counselling'. In this first event, Mike will be back as client, but with a different issue. Half the session will be taken up with Kevin counselling Mike, and the other half will be a conversation about the session between John, Kevin, and Mike, with contributions from the chatrooms.

The F Factor: How Facebook Has Helped Grow My Private Practice – Antonia Higgins

November 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm GMT
Antonia Higgins

Since I started in private practice in 2016, I have worked on building an active social media presence, particularly on Facebook, as a way of being visible to potential clients. And it works for me. I receive a significant number of enquiries through Facebook and often these enquiries translate into client work.

John has invited me to explore with him how I use my Facebook presence, what has worked for me, and why I would encourage therapists to use it as a marketing tool.

Nature-Based Soul Dreaming – Wendy Robertson Fyfe

November 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm GMT
Wendy Robertson Fyfe

In this Interview in nature/eco-based work, Wendy is in conversation offering another way of dreamwork through a Soulcentric perspective. From this perspective, every dream is an opportunity for transforming the ego in a shift from ego-centric identity to soulcentric identity into living the full mythopoetic, enchanted (and enchanting) human being we are born to be. Wendy is also in conversation about how wandering on the land in conversation with our dreams can deepen our experience of ourselves, the land and the dream leading us to next steps in the conversation between crossing into the Mysteries between nature and psyche on the Journey to Soul. If you have a short, fresh dream, do bring it and we will see if there's a moment to experience the work. Otherwise, there is a two-part workshop in December to be dreamed into for a deeper taste of the work.

Empowering The Client Role: Do You Know Something I Don’t? – Mamood Ahmad

December 10 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm GMT
Mamood Ahmad

What are the reasons for therapy not working, breaking down, stagnating, become inefficient, or seemingly ending prematurely? The traditional answer is that it is something about the relationship, approach, therapist, or clients readiness. While all of these are possibilities, in this session, I explore a further possibility that its because clients can be confused or unclear how they can use the construct of therapy (including themselves) within it.
