Kristine Abercrombie

I am a Clinical Psychologist and have studied as well as worked within the field of psychology for the past 18 years. I completed a BSc in Applied Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am also a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society - www.bps.org.uk - and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council - www.hpc-uk.org. The majority of my experience has been in the NHS, working in a variety of different disciplines. Due to health reasons, I've taken my career in a different direction and am now working privately, which also involves a contract with the victims and survivors service here in Northern Ireland, helping people affected by 'the troubles'. I am currently on the exciting journey of expanding the online therapy aspect of my business, as well as providing online clinical supervision.

I specialize in providing psychological treatments to adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing a wide range of psychological/emotional difficulties. I work in a very integrative and collaborative way, utilising a range of therapeutic modalities tailoring each intervention to the individual. I also have a particular interest in cognitive analytic therapy, schema focused therapy, mindfulness, and compassion focused therapy.
