Event Details
Margaret Rosemary, a Gestalt psychotherapist, will counsel Mike Trier live for 20 minutes and will then have a discussion about the process with John Wilson. Chatroom participants will be able to comment and ask questions.
This will be part of a series of live counselling, in which counsellors from different modalities will counsel the same client with the same issue.
1st Learning Objective:
To see how counsellors from different modalities approach a given issue.
2nd Learning Objective:
To learn about therapist choices.
3rd Learning Objective:
To increase awareness of the ethical issues surrounding live counselling.
About Margaret Rosemary
Margaret Rosemary established her practice as a Gestalt Psychotherapist in Sheffield in 1991, (www.gestaltinsheffield.co.uk). She is UKCP registered and an accredited member of GPTI. Her previous 20-year career was in teaching and she was Head of the Department of Modern Languages. She has three children and six grandchildren.
She sees individuals and couples for therapy, and supervises therapists from a range of modalities.
She is particularly interested in immediate contact and in noticing styles of contact. She likes to get to a level where clients will let her tease them. She enjoys creating experiments with clients and staying in the present as much as possible. She has been running Gestalt groups continuously since 1991 and sees running a group as central to her work.

About Mike Trier
I have worked for many years counselling teenagers.
Now, I have a private practice in Sheffield, mainly counselling couples as a Relate Licensed Counsellor, but I also counsel individuals; I am a supervisor, and I offer training, both to young people and adults.
I am BACP Accredited, and achieved both my Person Centred Diploma in Counselling, and my Person Centred Certificate in Supervision at Temenos, in Sheffield.
