PCT Scotland: Changes And Challenges For Membership Associations – Antonia Higgins

November 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm GMT

Antonia Higgins

Event Details

PCT Scotland is the membership association for person-centred therapists in Scotland. It has a long history - for 32 years it's mission has been to support therapists and promote the person-centred approach. This has not been without it's challenges.

The association is in a period of change and is considering how best to continue to support therapists and champion the PC approach in these changing times. That process has involved surveying members, working with the International Futures Forum, and creating opportunities for members to take part in workshops focusing on the association's values and prioritising next steps based on responses to the membership survey.

PCT Scotland's Secretary, Tonia Higgins, will talk about the changes the association is working towards and the challenges they bring. She'll also share her experiences of the benefits of membership and how valuable it has been to her as a practitioner.

I took over the role of Secretary of PCT Scotland in May 2019, at a time when the association's Coordinating Group was considering changes to keep the association useful and relevant for members.
