Let’s Stop Pretending We Know What We Are Doing – Robin Shohet

April 20 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm BST

Robin Shohet

Event Details

What would happen if we really embraced the idea of not knowing, or, in the words of the brilliant analyst Wilfred Bion, we entered a session without memory, desire, or understanding, another way of saying be in the now, or loving what is. There are so many ways the spiritual texts point to our not knowing and yet we insist on trying to quote evidence, create maps, models and use definitions.

The gift of the corona virus is to expose our fragile hold on reality, breaking through the need for control and the fear that lies behind it. Come to this session empty as we sit together in a space of not knowing and open ourselves to what might emerge.

About Robin Shohet

I have been teaching supervision for over 40 years through the CSTD (www.cstdlondon.co.uk) and co-authored and edited several books on this topic. I do not separate supervision from the rest of life and write about this in a recent work which I co-wrote with my wife, "In Love With Supervision: Creating Transformative Conversations".
