CPD: Are There Any Activities That Do Not “Count”? – Alison Moore

April 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm BST

Alison Moore

Event Details

Sometimes we can get stuck with our own personal development as a profession, we are excellent at taking care of our clients. And perhaps we forget our self-care and development.

When were busy, doing the next course that drops into our email in-box can seem like an easy way to get our CPD.

Experienced Supervisor Alison Moore talks about her recent more unusual CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities whilst considering them with reference to the requirements of our Professional Bodies.

From a writing workshop by Dame Hilary Mantel, via puppy training classes to Reiki Practitioner training, stopping off at Online Events on the way, Alison believes that as Counselling Practitioners, we can use so many activities as part of our professional development.

As their Supervisor, Alison often supports counsellors with their CPD, both their choice and their analysis.

In this discussion, Alison shares some of her CPD activities and how they are relevant to her practice, and hopes to hear from colleagues on what works well for them.
