Once you have decided on your next CPD event and booked the venue, there is a lot of work ahead to get your event marketing started.  You cannot afford not to be promoting your event on social media!

Initial Setup

  • Create the event page in Eventbrite
  • Create an image as the theme of the event
  • Find the right #Tag
  • Create a lead page which provides a URL to share and let people sign up via FB messenger
  • Create Bitly link that can be shared on email signoff's, social media bios etc
  • Gather presenter bios
  • Create a Mail Chimp List
  • Create a Facebook event connected to your business page
  • Create a private facebook group for attendees....this link is sent with the email confirmation

Schedule Posts - Twitter/Facebook 

  • Create a Schedule on MeetEdgar for Tweets and Facebook posts
  • Release of early bird prices

Facebook Messenger ChatBot


If your ChatBot is not already set up, you will need a Welcome Message and Menu to start with (Test Onlinevents ChatBot HERE)

  • Add your event as a button option in our chatbot
  • Create Facebook posts to offer a free resource (this will be your lead magnet which will have a call to action for your event)  If you have 4 different lead magenets you can do this step once a week (this is a great way to grow subscribers) Your ChatBot will send the resource to everyone who comments on the post
  • Create a lead page to share on other social media platforms
  • Create a pop up for your website to offer a free resource and or to get updates for upcoming events
  • Create sequences to send to subscribers leading up to the event (this is a full automation and will take a lot of time to set up....if you want this added there will be extra costs)

Live FB Video Schedule

Coaching time will be offered as to how to do a Facebook Live

Facebook LIVE TOPICS:
  • Why the title was chosen
  • Share info about the speakers
  • Talk about the venue
  • What people will get out of the event
  • Testimonials from previous events
  • Talk about the training organization

Additional Tasks 

  • Create Lead Magnets (a blog, top tips, something relating to your event topic)Articles/blogs about the content of the event / 5 Steps to/Reasons for/Things people don't know etc. (relevant to your event)
  • Create resource guide as a pdf
  • Set up your next event on Eventbrite (so you can invite delegates at the end of the day)

Post Event Tasks 

  • Finalise the resource guide to be sent to all attendees
  • Send Thank you email to delegates with a link to the next event
  • Send a thank you email to presenters with a link to an electronic gift voucher if appropriate
  • Edit a short video with images and videos, testimonials provided as promotion for future event.
